About Us
Our History
WEYE, an acronym for Waste to Energy Youth Enterprise. Founded in 2015 by Galabuzi Brian, WEYE initially began as The Waste to Energy Youth Project. The project aimed to educate young people about climate change and the importance of reducing waste. It also provided a platform for young people to start their own businesses related to waste management. WEYE has since evolved into a social enterprise that works with local organizations and communities to create sustainable waste management solutions.
Our core focus lies in producing and supplying environmentally friendly briquettes crafted from municipal and agricultural waste. These briquettes serve as an eco-friendly cooking fuel for both households and institutions. Beyond offering a clean energy solution, they play a crucial role in combating deforestation and reducing pollution.
